A very warm hello from the GMs desk!
I'm pleased to report that after a relatively soft landing into my new role, business activity has stepped up more than a couple of notches to keep me well and truly out of trouble. I extend a big thank you to all those consultants and clients that have so warmly welcomed me into my new position and I look forward to working with you all well into the future.

I am often asked about what type of work aCE is being involved in and what the market is like for consultant activity. This is indeed a difficult question to answer but I will endeavour to try. The type of work that has been keeping us busy can be divided into three key areas. Firstly, responding to client needs - predominantly in the areas of sourcing facilitators (MBTI, leadership, strategy, EQ) and placing consultants on strategic HRM and Learning & Development projects. Secondly, we have stepped up our business development activity and have been re-establishing links with our existing client base and seeking out opportunities with new clients. Thirdly, aCE takes its role as providing support to its consultants very seriously and as such we are actively seeking out alliances with providers that we feel can offer quality professional development opportunities to both aCE clients and the consultant community. Please refer to the Growth and Partners pages on the aCE website and the following articles for more information. If you can think of some professional development that you would like to consider that is not currently provided please drop me a line and I will investigate on your behalf.

Thank you to all the consultants that have responded to my request for updated information, via the Consultants Information Form. Clearly a lot of you are very busy and not had the opportunity to get back to me, but rest assured I will not give up and will be in touch via phone. We feel this is an important initiative and will add significant value to sourcing and identifying consultants according to client needs. In the words made famous by Tom Cruise in the movie Jerry Maguire.... "help me, help you"!!!!

On a final note, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the new consultants joining the aCE community. aCE is only as good as the consultants it represents therefore we are always keen to welcome new consultants that meet our rigorous selection standards. I look forward to working with you all in the future.
