Like everyone, I can hardly believe it is only 4 weeks until Christmas and there still seems so much to do!  The month that was was full of anticipation and excitement for our inaugural co-hosted Emotional Intelligence Breakfast Seminar held with Dr Martyn Newman of RocheMartin on 23 November. Dr Newman is not only a world renowned leader in emotional intelligence research, but more interestingly is a thought leader and practitioner in the development and application of emotional intelligence in the workplace. The Seminar was a great success with many of our clients (new and old!) enjoying the engaging and energetic presentation by Dr Newman. aCE talentNET has enjoyed much success introducing Martyn to a range of clients in the past and if anyone is interested in knowing more about this and the outstanding results of Martyn's client involvement please read our White Paper.

We are also getting regular visits to our newly launched Blog and are buoyed by the feedback from the aCE talentNET community.  If you are seeking one site that will keep you updated with the latest developments in the OD world then put the aCE blog on your must read list each week.

I wish you well with the lead up to Christmas... remember keep those stress levels under control and start writing those lists and ticking them off well before Christmas Eve... Good Luck!

Happy Consulting...

Deirdre

RECENT surveys reported in The Age and The Australian Financial Review show that trust in the integrity of business leaders has been dramatically eroded over the past few years.
  • Talent managements stumbling blocks  UNCOOPERATIVE LINE managers and corporate culture are the two major stumbling blocks that prevent successful talent management initiatives from delivering business value, a recent study has found.
Half of the study participants, which included 90 CEOs, business unit leaders and HR professionals from 40 multinational companies, expressed concern that their company's senior leadership don't align talent management strategies with business strategies.
