Sorry to big note ourselves straight from the get-go, but aCE talentNET does seem to have a knack for sourcing very interesting, relevant but not to research-y articles. I have been looking back over the articles in July on our BLOG and have to admit to being quite impressed. My fellow Director, Denise Hall and I have different tastes (fortunately!) and sources for our articles so you never quite know what you're going to get. OK, so that's my spruik over... the reason I mention this is because I've been spoilt for choice on my meanderings this month! (NB: Put it in your Outlook to check out the blog every so often and see if you agree...?!)
So what's news this month....well if you are an HR Professional you will no doubt be interested in the Bersin & Associates 130-page report helping HR and L&D professionals and executives understand what really drives success, job satisfaction, career growth, and engagement. See our articles below for more details. In addition, the Business Week article by Jack & Suzi Welsh discusses the very real hiring problem that big corporates may face in the near future as a result of the recent redundancy shocks... they claim that "many people have come to the conclusion that they don't want to work for "the man" anymore". Interestingly this is a trend that aCE talentNET can confirm, many professionals are seeing this as their opportunity to strike out on their own (see the blog for this one). And finally, for any of you interested in the Ret i rement debate, don't miss the Economist article (also highlighted below)... I found this to be an extremely interesting and positive take on the likely retirement landscape by the time I get there and for now, I've decided I'll stress no longer!
