A (very personal) note from the GMs desk...

Well what a year for me on so many fronts.  Firstly watching my baby boy grow into an engaging, confident and independent toddler has been a joy, but as any parent will attest, not without its challenges!  Secondly, embarking on a new career as General Manager for aCE.  Being back working with professionals on my terms has proven to me that it is possible to step away from the full-time corporate world and still feel like you're contributing to the growth and development of business, teams and individuals.  I couldn't have done this without the support of the aCE community, clients and consultants alike , aCE Director Denise Hall  and my husband and best friend, Chris . Whilst it's been "baby steps" aCE has been pleased to welcome many new clients and consultants to its community.   aCE goals for 2004 are simple .... firstly, assist existing (and new!) clients meet their business goals by linking them with dynamic, professional and passionate consultants, and secondly, continue to form alliances and collaborations for the great good of business, community and individuals, whatever form that takes I genuinely wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and New year and look forward to working with you into 2004 and beyond.

NEW YEARS RESOLVING - GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BAR TIME
NEED TO SEND  CHRISTMAS AND THANK YOU GIFTS AND WANT SOMETHING SPECIAL... WANT TO SAVE, SAVE, SAVE...
CONSIDER YOUR OWN DEVELOPMENT NEEDS FOR 2004 ....

You know you're living in 2003 when:

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3
4. You e-mail your mate who works at the desk next to you
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends is that they do not have e-mail addresses
6. When you go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner
7. When you make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial "0" to get an outside line
8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies
10. You learn about your redundancy on the 10.30 news
11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job
12. Contractors outnumber permanent staff and are more likely to get long-service awards

AND THE REAL CLINCHERS ARE...

13. You read this entire list and kept nodding and smiling
14. As you read this list, you think about forwarding
15. You got this email from a friend that never talks to you any more, except to send you jokes from the net
16. You are too busy to notice there was no No. 9
17. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a No. 9

Cheers The team @ aCE POLSON
